U.S. Supreme Court Code of Conduct
In 2023, the U.S. Supreme Court formally established a Code of Conduct to describe the ethics rules and principles to which the Justices are expected to adhere. The Court noted that the Code does not significantly change the way in which the Court operates. Instead, it simply codifies principles that the Justices have used for a long time. The Court intended the Code to correct popular misconceptions that the Justices are not subject to ethical rules, unlike all other judges.
