IN RE: ADMINISTRATIVE ORDERS OF
THE SUPREME COURT OF MISSISSIPPI

purpose of formalizing such a program, the Court now establishes the Mississippi Appellate
Court Internship Program.
IT IS THEREFORE ORDERED that the Mississippi Appellate Court Internship
Program is hereby established, effective August 15, 2007. Under this program, each
Supreme Court justice and Court of Appeals judge may host one student research associate
per semester term. Selection of candidates for student research associate positions will be
at the discretion of participating Supreme Court Justices or Court of Appeals Judges. Each
participating justice or judge shall be responsible for supervision of the student research

purposes of grading and evaluation. Participating justices or judges will be responsible for
the accommodation of his/her student research associates and the student will be located in
the justice’s or judge’s suite. Each student research associate shall be required to take an
