Upon review of the record, it appears that (1) this court informed Appellant Catalina Cabasa by letter dated January 18, 2001 that the time for filing appellant s statement of jurisdiction expired on November 27, 2000 and the time for filing the opening brief expired on December 16, 2000 and, that, pursuant to Rule 30 of the Hawai#i Rules of Appellate Procedure, the matter would be called to the attention of the court for such action as the court deemed proper; and (2) on January 26, 2001, appellant s request for relief from default was denied.
