On October 14, 2010, the parties submitted 33 sealed request for redactions in accordance with the Court's 31 order granting motion for summary judgment. The Court has reviewed the proposed redactions, and finds that while some of the redactions proposed refer to materials filed under seal, other proposed redactions refer to material that was filed on the public docket. Given the strong pr esumption in favor of public access to judicial records, see, e.g., Nixon v. Warner Commc'ns, Inc., 435 U.S. 589, 597 (1978) ("It is clear that the courts of this country recognize a general right to inspect and copy public records and docu ments, including judicial records and documents."), the Court will accept only those proposed redactions that refer to materials which were filed under seal and do not appear on the public docket.
